Yang's BBQ is a great local spot in Scarborough if you are looking for a great late night bite, whether it be after a club night, fancy dinner or if you just have the late night cravings. Also, it's a great casual sit down place if you're looking to catch up with some friends and family.
Yang's has a great variety of dishes to select from, but the thing they are most known for is their BBQ skewers. Think of any animal, vegetable, bread (Yes, they will grill a steamed bao), it's on the menu. Their lamb skewers (3 for $5) is the OG go-to if you're looking for the perfect bite. Grilled to a nice char, the lamb is nice and moist, but their spice blend is quite addictive and has a pleasant aromatic aroma.
Surprisingly, my friend strongly suggested the enoki mushrooms which I was skeptical at first since I figured they would burn easily, but no. The mushrooms were grilled to a nice bouncy texture while serving a nice vessel for their spice blend.
The service I have received was quite good. It was a Friday night and it did get quite busy at 12 am, but the service staff was attentive to all their guests.
I definitely recommend Yang's for anyone looking for that perfect bite after a night out or even just as a nice compliment for bubble tea! -

Came here with my two friends to catch up so we wanted a casual place that we could talk amongst ourselves and eat good food, and this was definitely the place! Walking in it was pretty packed with most tables filled with people with their food already on their tables and chatting away and eating.
I noticed most individuals had ordered skewers and there was also a tin can on each table for people to put their finished skewers in, our table didn't but after explaining what we ordered it wouldn't have mattered what we ordered.
My friend who has been here often suggested getting the cabbage skewers, and I was skeptical at first as cabbage skewers did not sound filling or something I would try at a bbq skewers place. But boy was I wrong, the cabbage skewers provided was hefty and large, it was also super well seasoned ( a bit spicy but I'm a total wimp with spicy) but the flavouring was very good.
Next we ordered potato skin skewers which was alright, nothing special tasted like a more season version of fries.
However, we saw lots of people ordering a large bowl of we weren't sure of (Xinjiang Chicken on Big plate w/ Noodles) but it looked super filling for the three of us so upon asking a server who quickly and efficiently showed us which one it is on the menu we ordered it despite the 2 pepper sign beside it.
When it arrived I quickly took a picture with it as it looked super impressive and we dug right in.
It wasn't too spicy as I avoided the big red chilli peppers that were in it but eventually throughout the dinner I did feel hot and my lips were a little burning. However the servers were always quick to refill the water cannister that was on our tables.
Overall it is a very casual affordable place to eat and hang out -

The food tastes very mediocre, would give a 2-3 for the food but a 0 for the customer service. I've had two tables booked for 14 people, and each table having their own separate bill. They kept on mixing orders between the other tables, then yelling at our table for apparently eating the other tables orders. Not impressed at all.

This place is located in a strip mall on Midland and Finch. There are many other restaurants, dessert places, and bubble tea places around, so it's quite convenient. This places gets crowded though, so perhaps be prepared to wait. Luckily when we went with four people, we waited no time at all.
We ordered lamb skewers and a lamb, potato and eggplant hotpot. The lamb skewers were really good, but quite spicy as well. So, this place is not for those who cannot handle the heat. The hotpot was quite good as well. The soup was flavourful and the lamb was tasty without much of the taste of game.
I should warn, however, that there isn't much service except taking and filling orders.
Overall, I'd recommend coming here if you enjoy Chinese BBQ skewers. -

Hands down best chinese skewer restaurant I have been to in the GTA. The chicken wings were very flavorful and juicy. The lamb and beef skewers are stars of the meal. Pretty no frills place. My friends did complain that the spicy bbq fish dish did not have much fish meat but I felt that it was a standard amount.
